  • 200 grams Laila Vermicelli
  • 1?4 cup sugar
  • 1?2 cup mixed nuts and dried fruits
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 pinch saffron


  • Toast the vermicelli to a light golden brown in the oven.
  • Break the vermicelli into half. In a pan, add the ghee, rose water, sugar, cardamom and saffron in a large pan. Heat the pan gently and then add the vermicelli.
  • Mix well to coat thoroughly. Cook on as low heat as possible for approximately 25-30 minutes , until the vermicelli is glossy and has absorbed everything.
  • Stir in the mixed fruits and nuts.
  • Garnish with the almonds and pistachios.
