  • Laila Xtra Rice
  • (Soaked in water for 30Mins)200g
  • Green peas 100 g
  • Carrot 100 g
  • Cinnamon stick 2nos
  • Green cardamom 4nos
  • Clove 4nos
  • Bay leaf 2 leaves
  • Ghee 50ml
  • Slice onion 70 g
  • Salt To taste
  • Water 340ml
  • Cumin seeds 3g

  • Heatghee in a deep non-stick pan.
  • Add cumin, whole spices and let it splutter. Add the sliced onionand sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add green peas and carrots and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Add the soaked rice (15-20 minutes) and sauté it for 1 minute andthen add water, salt and let it boil.
  • Once the mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cookon medium heat till done. Serve hot.
